The Prescription For Your Legal Problems In Minnesota

An Accomplished Attorney. An Experienced Pharmacist. A Trusted Ally.

Neil was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. From an early age, he knew that his destiny was to help people. He went to the University of Minnesota to pursue that dream as a pharmacist. After graduating, he started a job as a pharmacist and eventually owned his own pharmacies.

Although he loved his job, he gradually grew fed up with the pharmaceutical industry. One day at work, he developed an idea for a class-action lawsuit against a leading pharmaceutical services company on behalf of underpaid pharmacies across Minnesota. However, Neil was not content with passing responsibility for this case onto another Minnesota attorney. Neil decided to go to law school that day, and three years later earned his law degree from William Mitchell School of Law.

After graduation and admission to the Minnesota Bar, Neil filed that class-action suit, winning nearly $4 million on behalf of pharmacies across the state. Shortly after that, Neil came across another challenge — whistleblower law. Neil proved worthy of the challenge, helping his clients and the government receive more than $52 million in settlement proceedings compensation. With his combined experience of running pharmacy businesses and his legal knowledge and training, Neil has helped dozens of small businesses with their organization, employment, financing, and regulatory issues. You could say he has been there and done that.

Neil understands the challenges families face with planning for their legacies in Minnesota. He tailors custom solutions by listening to your questions and concerns. We help build bridges for a brighter future for you and your family. Let us take care of your future so you can focus on the present.

Neil Thompson is not your traditional attorney. In addition to being a successful Minnesota estate planning, bankruptcy, and litigation attorney, Neil has been a licensed pharmacist for more than 40 years. Neil has often quoted saying, “he has helped improve peoples’ health more as an attorney than as a pharmacist.” He also has more than 35 years’ experience as a small business owner, having owned four pharmacies. The precision necessary to manage these responsibilities successfully and simultaneously has translated into success for his legal clients. He has helped hundreds of clients throughout Minnesota plan their estates and manage their small businesses. His years of experience in many facets of life make him a trusted ally for you or a loved one seeking legal guidance from a Minnesota attorney in elder law and estate planning.

Along with representing clients in bankruptcy, whistleblower cases, hundreds of Neil’s clients are small business pharmacies, hardware stores, real estate investors, doctors, and other lawyers. These Minnesotans have sought out his expertise in drafting their estate plans, from basic wills to complex trusts.

If you or a loved one needs an experienced Minnesota attorney to handle your simple or complex estate plan, elder law needs, or create a cabin trust, it’s time to contact Neil Thompson, Attorney at Law at his Minneapolis/Bloomington, Minnesota law firm.
